SandGLASS™
Transparent anti-slip covers for stairs and staircases in public buildings
SandGLASS™ cover made of transparent and UV-resistant anti-slip material with a high R12 grade according to DIN51130 and a thickness of 0.4 mm. It makes it possible to secure and protect stairs made of wood, tiles, marble or stone. The flexible material of the SandGLASS™ cover adapts to the surface and edges even on uneven surfaces, such as concrete pavement. Due to their high flame retardancy class Bs1 DIN13501-1, they are used in fire escape areas.
The application of SandGLASS™ to flat surfaces results in immediate protection without major building operations. The self-adhesive underside facilitates quick installation on almost any surface.
Covers are used both indoors and outdoors to minimise the risk of slipping on slippery steps. Mainly used at the entrance to residential buildings and stairwells. In office buildings, industrial plants and schools, SandGLASS™ has the additional function of protecting graphics in passageways.
